• Funny: I've never considered Jane Austen a "moral" author. But James Collins, writing in the Wall Street Journal, has some interesting points.
• Over at MOBYLIVES, the two-week series "What Bolaño Read" has begun.
• The New York Review of Books considers several books on Nazi-occupied Paris: "For some French men and women--perhaps more than we would like to know--the occupation was actually a source of new opportunities."
